Here is an interesting article I found about parents selling Girl Scout cookies for their daughters. This is one of my biggest issues about selling cookies…rewarding girls for achieving levels they DID NOT achieve! Would we be proud of an “A” our daughter’s got on a math test if we took half the test for them? The why do parents go all out selling cookies to earn a patch that they did not really earn?
Selling Girl Scout cookies is all about teaching your daughter life skills. Earning stuffed animals and tickets to parks for you selling them is not what it is about. Stop the mompetition!
