February 22nd is World Thinking Day, the first Girl Scout holiday of the year. Here are resources for leaders to use to create a memorable event of meeting with their troop.
Every year, the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts selects a theme that troops around the world will work on simultaneously. This is an activity the connects over 10 million scouts from over 150 countries and celebrate international friendship. While it is not mandatory to celebrate this with your troop, the Girl Scout of the USA believe that it is so important that an earned World Thinking Day badge goes in the front of the vest, sash, or tunic.

This year’s World Thinking Day theme is Diversity, Equality and Inclusion. This is perfect, since Girl Scouts is a global community of diverse girls. The activities for this year’s theme and Take Action project revolve around understanding the three concepts of Diversity, Equality and Inclusion.

In this blog post, I have an easy 5 step meeting guide for leaders of all levels to utilize. If you have older scouts, you can assign girls a section for them to research and present during the meeting.
