When your troop is ready to change scouting levels, it is called bridging. This is how the GSUSA describes bridging:
Bridging is a beloved Girl Scout tradition that honors girls’ achievements throughout the year and celebrates their “crossing the bridge” to the next Girl Scout level.
In this blog post, I have answered 8 Girl Scout Bridging Questions, such as when to bridge, earning petals, etc.
As your Daisies are ready to bridge to Brownies, here are a list of resources to help you get ready.
Girl Scout Daisy to Brownie Bridging Ceremony Scripts
When I was a Daisy leader many years ago, there were Girl Scout Daisy to Brownie bridging scripts available. I had to create the ceremony on my own (this blog post shares my easy DIY ceremony).
Even when you are using a script, it is important for you to say something to the families and friends who are attending the ceremony. As each girl crosses the bridge, say something special about her. It helps individualize the moment.
Here are sample Girl Scout Daisy to Brownie bridging ceremonies you can use.

Girl Scout Brownie Uniforms
As part of the bridging ceremony, the girls take off their Daisy vest and are given their new Brownie vest. Who pays for this is a troop decision. I am of the opinion that parents need to pay for uniforms, as they need skin in the game. If the troop pays for the uniform, it is out the money if the girl decides not to rejoin. If her parents pay, then it is on them.
One way to make the ordering of uniforms easier is to collect the money from the families and do a bulk order online. Boscov’s has them online and you may be able to use coupon codes to get discounts as well. They have uniforms, pins, tabs and more.

Girl Scout Daisy to Brownie Bridging Ceremony Party Supplies
Having themed decor will make your bridging ceremony pop. I am a fan of less being more. Select two or three rainbow themed items and keep the rest solid.
Oriental Trading, which always has coupon codes and oftentimes free shipping, has an entire section of rainbow party decor. You can find it here.

Girl Scout Daisy to Brownie Bridging Gifts
While you do not have to give your girls a bridging gift, some leaders like to give a little something. When my troop bridged to Brownies, I gave them each a box of Brownie mix.
One easy bridging gift idea is to fill a cellophane bag and put in some rainbow themed items. You can put them in a ready made rainbow paper lunch bag Here is a list of a few things you can include.
Rainbow Sour Belts Licorice Candy
