If you are looking for something for your troop to do that will promote self-care, this free dental program for Girl Scouts will help your girls give their best smile. It can also help earn petals and badges.
Updated August 2024
February is Dental Health Month. In schools across America, children are taught how to take care of their teeth and why it is important. As Girl Scout leaders, you can also have a meeting that is centered around this. In fact, this month you can earn the purple Daisy petal “Respect Myself and Others” or the retired Brownie Try It “Healthy Habits” or even the retired Junior badge “A Healthier You”.
The entire meeting does not have to be devoted to dental health, but a portion can be. Here is one place where you can get free materials for your troop meeting.
