Because of all of the holidays, the month of December is a busy one. This Girl Scout New Year’s Eve meeting for Daisies, Brownies and Juniors is both inclusive and easy to plan, especially for multi-level troops.
Over the past almost 13 years that I have been sharing all things Girl Scout, I have written many times about being inclusive, especially during the month of December. Because we were a diverse troop of different faiths, we did not celebrate Christmas, Chanukah or Kwanza. What we did do was community service. I have documented all of the things we did over the years, including:
Baking for the homeless
Creating gift baskets for the homeless
Creating personal needs gift baskets for our local family services organization
Baking cookies and making cards for the military
If you do want to have some kind of party or celebration during the month of December, then this Girl Scout New Year’s Eve meeting for Daisies, Brownies and Juniors is just the thing you are looking for.
