If your Girl Scout Junior troop is bridging to Cadette, it is traditional to have a Silver Key ceremony as part of bridging or as part of their rededication or investiture.
What Does the Girl Scout Silver Key Symbolize?
A key unlocks a door or a lock to something. The Girl Scout Silver Key symbolizes the girls unlocking their potential and the future. The silver is the color of the metal award they can earn during their three years as Cadettes.
Girl Scout Silver Key Patch
If you want to start off the girls’ Cadette uniform with a milestone patch, this Girl Scout Silver Key patch can be given to them after the ceremony. This patch is iron on and measures 2″ x 3″. It is available in my Etsy shop.
