One of the most popular outdoor badges to earn is the Girl Scout Archery badge. As Cadettes, we were fortunate to have, as part of our camping experience, a person certified to teach the girls how to use a bow and arrow. It was so much fun! (the image below is my daughter)
Using a bow and arrow is an outdoor skill that many girls want to learn and it does take effort. Yes, you can give your girls a fun patch, but, in my opinion, this is a badge worthy skill.
Where can leaders find an official Girl Scout archery badge?
The Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan has them available!
The rules are as follow (from their website):
There must be one adult, currently certified as an instructor by the National Archery Association, or has equivalent certification or documented experience indicating knowledge and skill in teaching/supervising archery.
