If your daughter or your troop has big goals in mind, here are 10 easy tips to sell more Girl Scout cookies.
It’s cookie season! If you are looking for novel ways to increase your sales and reach your goals, here are 10 easy tips for selling more product.
- Feature this year’s new cookie, Exploremores®. Make a separate sign and a special place on your booth table to have this new cookie stand out.
- Bling your booth! This was a big push in the 2010s by the GSUSA. Bring it back by having your girls create an amazing display and let their creativity shine!
- As part of their display, have some photos of the girls doing things they did with their cookie earnings-camping, a day trip, or a service project.
- At your booths, accept credit cards. Each Council will share with you how it is done.
- Instead of having your girls ask a potential customer passing your booth, “Would you like to buy some Girl Scout cookies”, ask them, “What’s your favorite cookie flavor?”. It may start a conversation. You can practice this at your meetings.
- Have premade themed bundle of items tied with red ribbon or Valentine’s Day.
- If you don’t mind being stopped by strangers, you can use chalk markers on your car and write something like, “I have Girl Scout cookies!”. Anyone walking by your car in your neighborhood will see it.
- Make a lawn sign sharing that your scout is selling Girl Scout cookies.
- Take your cookies everywhere you go. You can have a box of mixed flavors while you are waiting at an appointment-the DMV, the doctor’s office, or at the bank.
- Go into neighborhoods that may not have any Girl Scouts, like the active adult communities. Just ask the manager if that is allowed.
