For many leaders, the end of cookie season is a relief. It is honestly very stressful and exhausting. For those who have girls who are bridging to the next level, there is now something else to plan. I have written a Girl Scout bridging guide for leaders to help you plan.
One thing the girls can do for their bridging ceremony is make their own bridging favors. It can be part of your bridging practice meeting and is a creative outlet when the girls become tired of practicing. It also requires little planning on your part…just purchase the materials and let the girls create!

Easy Beaded Girl Scout Bracelets
Making a beaded bracelet is an easy craft for girls. To make this special for this occasion, you can have the bracelets have a special saying, like “Bridging 2018” or “Troop ____” . Some others:
- Daisies bridging to Brownies can bead “Blast Off” from the “Blast off to Brownies” saying,
- Brownies bridging to Juniors can bead “Flying Up 2018”
- Juniors bridging to Cadettes can bead “Climbing 2018” or “Climb 2018” as they Climb to Cadettes.
- Cadettes stepping up to Seniors can create fancier bracelets, as they are older and you probably have fewer girls. Their bracelets can read “Stepping Up 2018” or “Step Up 2018”.
- Seniors bridging to Ambassadors can bead “Soar” or “Soaring 2018”.
S&S Worldwide has a great selection of beads, and best of all, you can buy only the letters and numbers you need, saving time and troop money. You can also use coupon codes to save even more.
