The holiday season is here, and one of many people’s favorite is Thanksgiving. One way to celebrate with your troop is to have a Girl Scout Friendsgving meeting.
What is Girl Scout Friendsgiving?
According to Merriam-Webster, the word friendsgiving came about in 2007. It is a combination of the words “friends” and “Thanksgiving”. There are many people who live far away from their families or choose not to spend Thanksgiving with them. Instead, they celebrate the holiday with friends.
Since your troop is a sisterhood, celebrating a Girl Scout Friendsgiving is something you may want to try this month.
Easy Ready Made Meeting Plans to Earn Badges at a Girl Scout Friendsgiving
Your troop can earn a badge while celebrating Girl Scout Friendsgiving. I have created ready made meeting plans for these levels.
Girl Scout Friendsgiving Meeting Earn 3 Daisy Petals & the Brownie Snacks Badge
If you are a multi-level Daisy and Brownie troop, your Daisy Scouts can earn petals while helping their fellow Brownie sister scouts. This is a stand alone meeting for Brownies, the Daisy component is included because there are so many multi-level troops out there.

You may want to set up a SignUp Genius for people to bring in their favorite side dish or dessert to augment what the girls are preparing. You can provide the turkey breast, sliced deli turkey or chicken nuggets.
When setting up the SignUp Genius, in the description box, make a note of any allergies girls in your troop may have. This is not only being cautious, it is being considerate and caring and a sister to every Girl Scout.
If you are meeting virtually, girls can have a meal prepared and you share traditions and play games. Some fun ones are:
Would you Rather?
Freeze Dance
Kahoot
Bingo (you can make and send each scout her own Bingo card at My Free Bingo Cards. I did this with my students and it was easy and fun)
