Part of the Girl Scout Founder’s Day celebration is to give to others, the way Juliette Gordon Low did.
In this 2015 blog post, I shared an idea on how to do a Girl Scout community service project in her honor. During the time of Covid, you can still do a no contact food drive.
Have each girl collect food from her family-maybe one item for how old she is. Parents put the bag of food in their trunk. They can drive to your home, pop open the trunk, and you take the bag (or bags) of food. When it is convenient for you, it can be delivered to the food bank of your choice.
Your troop can also “Scare Away Hunger” as a service project. Here is how they can do it.
